It feels like I just cleaned up after the 2022 New Year's Eve Party, and here we are, 2023.
Me, I just love a new year. I love everything about it - a fresh start, resolutions, a new journal, not knowing what lies ahead, and the prospect of trying out new things.
Anything from a new sport, a new hobby, new foods to try, new places to travel to, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
Our comfort zone can be our place where we feel safe and confident, but also a place where we can feel stuck and resistant to change.
This year I want to take risks and try new things, even when those things may be uncertain or uncomfortable. But I firmly believe I have the confidence and willingness to take action to pursue my goals.
Health and Fitness
After watching "Limitless" with Chris Hemsworth on Disney ( twice ), I'm totally obsessed with the concept of staying younger, and longer.
I immediately adopted a couple of daily habits, to make this happen... Hello, cold shower!
Learning that a couple of 20-minute sauna visits a week, can cut your risk of heart disease in half, and Alzheimer's by 66 percent is absolutely mind-boggling.
Equally impressive is the research on fasting, intermittent, or full-blown water fasts.
Our bodies are truly magnificent, self-healing complex organisms, that we can nurture or destroy with our lifestyle. How insane is that, when you think about it? What we do, eat, drink, and think is what we become.
So I've decided to become my own experiment on growing younger.
I'm starting today and will keep a close tab on changes in my body and mind, have regular bloodwork done, for the invisible changes, and body measurements for the visible changes.
Personal challenges/accomplishments
Climbing Kilimanjaro has been on my Bucket list for quite a while, and now the post covid world is spinning back to ( almost ) normal, I'm hoping to finally cross it off.
I can literally see myself reaching the summit and smiling.
Writing a book is another biggie, I really want to work on this year.
I can feel the satisfaction of writing " THE END " after months of research, writing, rewriting, and probably a decent dose of frustration.

Pull-ups and chin-ups, yes I dream of being able to do at least five of each. I know this may sound silly to many of you, but it would make me so proud of myself for being able to do this.
I can probably go on pages about what I still want to do and where I want to go, but for now, I think I'm going to concentrate on these ones and make up new ones as I go on.
Wishing you all an exciting 2023, full of personal bests and goals, bringing out your inner Wonder Woman, now go and conquer the world.
Xoxo
Kati
